Wooden Horse…

A beautifully painted wooden stick horse leans as if looking outside through a rustic window onto a sunny day.

If I have pain on my foot, well then that’s that.

No one has to know. No need to complain about it. There’s work to do.

Unless it’s black or blue or bloody I should not complain. Or go to the doctor. That’s how my father taught me; if something hurts and it’s nothing grave then bear it and keep working. You have to keep working.

I’m saying this because I need you to understand how difficult it is for me to think that COVID might have beyond a mild fever and cough. I don’t know if I’m being childish right now. Or decrepitly old (probably!). But… There’s days I feel super, like nothing’s the matter. And there’s days… I definitely do NOT feel super. Those days that I don’t, I can’t see any reason for it. I’m barely going out. I always mask up when I do. And I don’t stay anywhere longer than 10 minutes. Really, I hope its just me being whinery. And not that (long) COVID has got me all fucked up still.

Yesterday I did not feel super…

Was feeling so out of it that instead of calling Susannah, the lady I buy lunch from, I plopped down on the bed and promptly lost consciousness

Only weird dreams were had for lunch.
